Realme launched their two new flagship Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro recently in India. Realme 5 and 5 Pro are the first 4-quad camera smartphone from a Realme. The Realme 5 comes with the snapdragon 655 and Realme 5 Pro comes with a processor snapdragon 712. Both the smartphone comes with android 9.0 pie with Color OS top of it. Now, let’s jump on to our topic “How to turn off autocorrect in Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro“.
Autocorrect is a feature which meant to help the user while typing. It enhances the user experience by providing a suggestion for typing and replacing the incorrect text. But, sometimes it ruins your typing experience by auto replacing the word you type. One of the that worst happened with me yesterday when I am texting my friend and I typed “cane” but it auto-replaced by the word “pen”. At that time I decided to turn off autocorrect on my device.
How to turn off autocorrect in Realme 5 and 5 Pro?
The autocorrect is a combination of two feature auto-replace and suggestive text. Auto-replace replaces a misspelt or grammatically incorrect word whereas suggestive text shows the suggestion for what you are typing.
Now, let’s first see how to turn of Auto-replace which is the major problem:
- Open the Settings App on the device.
- Go to an additional setting.
- Now select keyboard and input.
- Select the keyboard you are using in my case it is GBoard.
- Now, navigate to the text correction option.
- Turn off autocorrect.
For typing, we recommend you to only disable auto-replace as Suggestive or Predictive text helps a lot by giving suggestions. But, if you want to disable it too then follow the steps below.
Turn off Predictive text on a Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro:
- Go to settings.
- Open the addition settings.
- Navigate to the keyboard and input
- Select the keyboard.
- Find the text correction option.
- Turn off Suggestion trip.
